Paintings
I started taking painting seriously thanks to art school, first year paintings class totally opened my eyes to a whole new world. Painting is fun, but also hard and time consuming; most of my paintings were done for class projects.
This is my first painting in art school, it was for the first assignment in my first year painting class. Still life on paper, acrylic.
This is just painting practice, I was experimenting with colour mixing.
Acrylic on Wood Panel. This was a collage turned into painting, it's Alice falling down the rabbit hole. This was done for my first year painting class.
This was done for my first year painting class, it's an abstraction of Algerian buildings glazed over common Amazigh ALgerian patterns.
Untitled, acrylic on canvas. This was for my 2nd year painting class, it's supposed to be a representation of life; with it ugliness and prettyness. But also its an allegory for how hope and perseverence bloom in the face of shit and misery.
The Big Bad Wolf, acrylic on canvas. This painting was a personal project of mine where I took the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood and turned it into an allegory for being a man's prey as a woman.
All I Wanted Was You, acrylic on canvas. This was done for my 2nd year painting class, it represents vulnerability, abuse, and pain.
