About Me

Hi! My name's yousra and I'm 22, Algerian and living in Canada. I'm a 3rd year visual arts student at UOttawa. I'm pursuing a B.A. with a major in Visual Arts and a minor in Lettres Francaise, with which I hope to teach in High School. I mainly do illustrations but art school has given me the opportunity to work on other forms of visual arts, such as painting, photography, sculpture and sculpture installation. You can find all (I'll try to regularly update the website with new works I make) of my work here or on Instagram @phlygm_ which I update more frequently than my website unfortunately. My dream is to be a character designer, or the lead singer of a band (I like to sing but I'm not super confident with my singing). I love music, my favorite bands are Paramore, Raina Rai (old Algerian band), and Green Day. I think that a sign of being a real music artist is being able to make good longer than 3-5min songs, which GreenDay has done, which I think speaks for their superiority in the music world. Another indicator that an artist has an elite level skills is if the singer has a wide range of vocals, which Hailey Williams excels at. It's a shame she doesn't utilize it to its fullest extent with her solo songs, her voice doesn't shine the same as it does when she sings with the rest of Paramore. Aside from my passion for the arts, I am also extremely passionate about political and philosophical theory. I identify as a marxist feminist (I'm mega ultra woke). I sometimes write about my political opinions, so I might add a section on here so people can read it. I'm lower class and have only myself as provider, and I also go to school full-time. I work a wage slave job at pretty close to full time hours. I'm single (3 yrs going strong) and a femcel by definition I guess. I'm autistic and socially awkward, I have maybe like a couple close friends (it's hard out here). But I think it'd be cool to know more people and be "popular. It'd also be cool to be in a good romantic relationship for once in my life too. I'm a nerd for anything zelda, nier, or ff7 related. I like video games and they're what inspired be a character designer, I want to design a character that makes it to the same level as link, 2b, aerith, etc. Basically a really cool looking character with a really cool story. I want to be able to give someone the same feeling I have for those characters.
